วัตถุประสงค์การสอบ
การสอบ SAT-subject test นั้นมีเพื่อวัดความรู้พื้นฐานในแต่ละสาขาวิชาเฉพาะ รวมถึงทักษะในการคิดและ
อ่าน ซึ่งคะแนนสอบ SAT นั้นได้รับการยอมรับเป็นตัวบ่งชี้มาตรฐาน สำหรับการคัดเลือกบุคลากรเข้าศึกษาต่อระดับมหาวิทยาลัยในหลายประเทศ และเป็นข้อสอบที่ใช้วัดระดับความรู้ ความสามารถของผู้ที่ต้องการศึกษาต่อระดับปริญญาตรีทั้งในมหาวิทยาลัยต่างประเทศ และมหาวิทยาลัยในเมืองไทย หลักสูตรนานานชาติ

ลักษณะข้อสอบ
- ส่วน chemical
ข้อสอบนั้นจะมีจำนวน 85 ข้อ ให้เวลา 1 ชั่วโมง โดยรูปแบบของข้อสอบจะแบ่งออกเป็น 3 ประเภทได้แก่
1. classification questions เป็นการให้ 5 ตัวเลือก และข้อความ 3 - 5 ข้อความ โดยให้เลือกตัวเลือกที่เหมาะสมกับข้อความที่ให้มากที่สุด โดยตัวเลือกที่ให้มานั้นอาจถูกใช้มากกว่า 1 ครั้งหรือ ไม่ถูกใช้เลยก็ได้
2. Relationship analysis question ในคำถามจะประกอบด้วยข้อความ และคำอธิบายของข้อความที่ได้ต้องทำการวิเคราะห์ข้อความและคำอธิบายว่าเป็นจริงหรือเท็จ หากทั้งสองข้อความเป็นจริงแล้ว ให้พิจารณาว่าคำอธิบายที่ได้ให้มานั้นสมเหตุสมผลหรือไม่ หากข้อความทั้งสองเป็นเหตุผลซึ่งกันและกันแล้วให้ตอบในช่อง C.E. ด้วย โดยใส่คำตอบที่ถูกต้องลงในกระดาษคำตอบลักษณะดังแสดง

3. Fiv Choice completion question เป็นลักษณะข้อสอบในรูปแบบ multiple choice ทั่วไป โดยมี 5 ตัวเลือก

 - ส่วน Biology
ข้อสอบจะมีทั้งหมด 100 ข้อ
- บังคับทำ 60 ข้อ
- เลือกทำ 20 ข้อ
(โดยเลือกทำ Biology-E Section 20 ข้อ หรือ Biology-M Section 20 ข้อ) ดังนั้นจำนวนข้อสอบที่ต้องทำคือ 80 ข้อ จาก 100 ข้อ

คะแนนจะอยู่ในช่วง 200 - 800 คะแนน
- ถ้าตอบถูกได้ข้อละ 1 คะแนน
- ถ้าตอบผิดถูกหักข้อละ 0.25 คะแนน
-ถ้าไม่ตอบได้ 0 คะแนน
หลังจากนั้นจึงนำคะแนนไปเทียบตามตารางคะแนนที่กำหนด
